The management used several applications serving different telematics systems and tachographs. Each showed data differently, so the full picture required switching between systems.
Information about routes, stops and drivers' working time was not linked to financial data. To check the profitability of an order, someone had to gather data from several places by hand, which made it hard to spot losses and delays.
What we did
We built a Power BI solution integrating data from telematics applications, tachograph systems and financial sources. We joined the data at the level of driver, vehicle, route and individual order.
The model makes it possible to analyse driving time, stops, vehicle status, delivery time, order revenue and cost, fleet utilisation and route profitability.
Instead of several applications, the management got a single report showing the company's real operational state, laid out the way they actually analyse the business.

We changed company names and the data in the screenshots to protect client confidentiality (NOVARA, FlowWarehouse and Red Dragon are demonstration names). The graphics show a real type of report or app, not a specific client.
